How to set up a Crazytel SIP Trunk with your UniFi Talk

  1. Navigate to your UniFi dashboard
  2. Click on UniFi Talk:
    Click UniFi Talk from the top bar
  3. Click on Third-Party SIP:
    Click the Third Party SIP tab
  4. Click Create New:
    Create New 3rd Party SIP connection
  5. Click the drop-down next to Provider:
    Click the drop-down for Provider
  6. Select Custom from the drop-down menu
    Choose Custom from the drop-down menu
  7. Click Provider Name and enter a provider name for your Crazytel Servcie (IE, Crazytel)

  8. Click Add Field
    Set a provider name for this service
  9. Add your custom field to the text box shown
    Type your custom field in the provided text box
  10. Click the + icon to add the field

  11. Repeat steps 9 and 10 for the following custom fields:
    1. proxy
    2. realm
    3. password
    4. register
    5. username
    6. sip_cid_type
    7. retry_seconds
    8. expire-seconds
  12. When all the above fields have been added, your custom fields collection should look like this:

  13. Click Done
  14. Fill out each field as required - notes on fields you may need to change are below the screenshot:

    - BIZ accounts use a different PROXY and REALM
    - Some connections (IE, services using Telstra's NBN, or Starlink) require the use of an alternative VoIP port. This can be configured by adding ':25160' at the end of your VoIP Proxy (see line below):
    sip.crazytel.net.au:25160 or sip.biz.crazytel.net.au:25160
    - Copy + Paste your SIP Trunk ID in the 'username' field
    - Click Handle All Outgoing Calls By Default
    - Enter your Crazytel Phone Number in +61 format (IE, +6173073155), then click the '+' button
  15. Click Add IP Address Range:

  16. Enter 0.0.0.0 and 0, as below:Whitelist all IP Addresses (0.0.0.0/0)
  17. Click Add to whitelist the IP address
  18. Click Apply Changes:
    Save changes
  19. Your UniFi Talk device should now show as registered under SIP Trunks on your Crazytel Customer Portal
