Display Your Home or Business Number as Caller ID: A Step-by-Step Guide

Easily display your existing home or business phone number as your Caller ID when making calls via your Crazytel SIP Trunk. Follow these simple steps to verify and set up your preferred number through our online portal.

 

Step 1: Access Verify Caller ID

  • Log in to our portal at portal.crazytel.com.au
  • In the left-hand menu, click on Verify Caller ID
  • Click Add Number in the top right corner of the screen

Step 2: Enter Your Desired Caller ID Number

  • In the Caller ID Verification window, enter the Phone Number you wish to use as your Caller ID
  • Click Verify Now

Enter Phone Number, click Verify Now

 

Step 3: Verify Your Number via Automated Call

  • Receive an automated call on the entered number with a verification PIN
  • Enter the PIN and click Submit

 

Step 4: Update Nickname (Optional)

  • Your number is now verified and listed in the Caller ID dashboard
  • To update the Nickname, double-click on the current nickname

 

Step 5: Assign the New Number to Your SIP Trunk

  • In the left-hand menu, click on SIP Trunks
  • Click the Edit (pencil) icon next to the trunk you wish to edit

 

Step 6: Select Your New Caller ID Number

  • In the SIP Trunk Edit screen, select your newly added number from the CallerID Number drop-down menu
  • Click Save Changes
