CrazyTel provides a robust SMS API that allows you to send SMS messages programmatically. This service is especially valuable for Yeastar phone system users who want to integrate SMS capabilities into their communication platform. The API is accessible through your CrazyTel customer portal.

You can access the SMS API documentation and configuration options by logging into your CrazyTel customer account:

Prerequisites

Before beginning the integration, ensure you have:

An active CrazyTel account
Administrator access to your Yeastar PSE

Step-by-Step Integration Process

Step 1: Obtain your SMS API Key

Navigate to the SMS API page (SMS Messaging - SMS API)

Create your API key and save it securely

Step 2: Configure Yeastar Messaging Channel

Navigate to the Messaging Channels page

Add an SMS Channel
Authentication
- Name - Used to identify the Channel
- ITSP - General
- API Key - Provided in the previous step
- API Address for Sending Messages - https://sms.crazytel.net.au/api/v1/sms/send_yeastar
- Copy your Webhook URL for the Crazytel Webportal

Message Settings

- Message Sending Rate - 1
- Close Session Automatically - Disabled
- Number
  - Add
    - Number - E164 Format (61412345678)
    - Destination for Inbound Messaging - Extension or Message Queue
    - Extension or Messaging Queue - Select from Drop Down
    - Extensions Allowed to Create Messaging Session - Select from list and press the arrow to move across

Step 3: IP Address Whitelisting

Ensure you have whitelisted Crazytel's SMS Gateway IP 103.77.233.23

Security - Security Rules - Static Defense - Add

Basic
- Name - Crazytel SMS Gateway
- Description - Crazytel SMS Gateway
- Action - Accept

Defense Object

- Object Type - IP Address
- Source IP Address - 103.77.233.23
- Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.255
- Service/Port Range - Port Range
- Start Port - 1
- End Port - 65535
- Protocol - Both
