This article covers setting up Email to Fax. Email to Fax is responsible for sending outbound faxes from your email address.

Setting up Email to Fax
Step 1: Access Your Account
- Navigate to the Crazytel portal at portal.crazytel.com.au.
- Log in using your existing credentials. Don't have an account? Sign up directly from the portal.
Step 2: Setting up Email to Fax
- Using the left hand navigation panel, select Email to Fax.
- Select Whitelist Email (left side)
- Enter the from email address. This is the email address you will be sending faxes from.
NB: This field is case sensitive. The email address here must match the sending email address identically. (IE, all lower case; Admin@example will not match admin@example) - Select the Caller ID. This number will show on the receiving device as the sender's caller ID.
- (Optional) Change the Quality of the outbound fax.
- (Optional) Change whether to include a Cover Page for the outbound fax.
- Save the Email to Fax settings
Using Email to Fax
Crazytel Secure Email to Fax network will only accept emails sent over TLS "Transport Layer Security" Protocol.
Email to Fax are automatically deleted from Crazytel servers once the fax has been delivered or unsuccessful.
Email address as destination
- Confirm the sending email address has been whitelisted, per 'Setting Up Email to Fax'
- Send an email to PhoneNumber@crazyfax.com.au remove PhoneNumber and replace it with the Fax number you want to send a Fax to. (Including the Area Code)
- Your fax will be receivied within minutes.
Subject as destination
- Confirm the sending email address has been whitelisted, per 'Setting Up Email to Fax'
- Send an email to out@crazyfax.com.au Add the phone number you want to send a fax to in the subject field. (Including the Area Code)
- Your fax will be received within minutes.
Email to Fax Hints
Hint 1: Remove any HTML signatures from your email before sending a Fax.
Hint 2: You can check your Email to Fax logs by > Virtual Fax > Audit Log
Hint 3: The Cover page will include the contents of your email body.
Hint 4: Don't be afraid to send your self a fax to make sure the settings are exactly what you want.
Hint 5: PDF & TIF attachments are accepted.
Hint 6: On rare occasion, if your email to fax has failed, you will always receive a "Failed to send" auto-reply email. If you want to receive “Successfully Sent” auto-reply emails, please add a “Read Receipt” to the email before sending.
Hint 7: If you don't attach a PDF or TIF file to your email, we will send a cover letter with your email body's contents.
