Understanding and Configuring CrazySPAM

Location: "Number Management" > "My Numbers" (applied on a per-number basis)

What is CrazySpam?

CrazySpam is a feature designed to help filter out unwanted calls. It offers multiple settings to control incoming calls based on their Caller ID. Below, we'll break down each option to assist you in customizing your call preferences.

CrazySpam Settings:

Block Type Action Use Case
Block Invalid Caller ID Reject all calls with invalid Australian Caller IDs (those not starting with valid Australian prefixes: 02, 03, 04, 07, 08). Helps prevent calls with spoofed or incorrectly formatted Caller IDs.
Block International Caller ID Blocks all incoming calls identified as international. Useful for those who only wish to receive domestic calls.
Block Hidden Caller ID Rejects calls from private or anonymous numbers ("Private", "Anonymous", or "Unknown"). Helps screen out potential telemarketing or unwanted anonymous calls.
Block Calls from Landlines Blocks calls originating from Australian landline numbers (Caller IDs starting with 02, 03, 07, 08). Suitable for users who primarily wish to receive calls from mobiles or restrict landline calls.
Block Calls from Mobiles Rejects calls from Australian mobile numbers (Caller IDs starting with 04). Ideal for those who prefer not to receive mobile-originated calls.

How to Use These Settings:

  1. Navigate to "Number Management" > "My Numbers".
  2. Select the phone number you wish to configure.
  3. Locate the "CrazySpam" section.
  4. Enable or disable the desired filters based on your call preferences.
  5. Save your changes to apply the new settings.
