Configuring VitalPBX Firewall for Crazytel SIP Trunks

Overview

To ensure proper communication with Crazytel services, you need to whitelist Crazytel's IP addresses in your VitalPBX firewall settings.

Important Note

  • Crazytel's IP addresses may change periodically
  • Always check the Getting Started Guide in the Crazytel portal for the current list
  • Review the IP list regularly to ensure your whitelist remains current

Configuration Steps

1. Access Firewall Settings

  1. Navigate to the left-hand menu
  2. Select Admin → Security → Firewall
  3. Click on the Whitelist tab

2. Add Crazytel IP Addresses

For each IP address:

  1. Click the Add button in the bottom right corner
  2. Enter the following details:
    • Host: Enter the Crazytel IP address
    • Description: Add a brief description (e.g., "Crazytel SIP Server 1")
  3. Click Add to save the entry
  4. Repeat for each Crazytel IP address

3. Save Configuration

  • After adding all IP addresses, click the Save button in the bottom right corner
  • Wait for the firewall configuration to update

Verification

After configuration:

  • Check that all Crazytel IP addresses are listed in the whitelist
  • Verify that your VoIP service works correctly
  • Test both incoming and outgoing calls

Best Practices

  1. Label each IP address clearly in the description field
  2. Keep documentation of when you last updated the whitelist
  3. Set a regular schedule to review and update the IP whitelist
  4. Back up your firewall configuration after making changes
