Introduction

After purchasing a Direct Inward Dialing (DID) number, you'll need to forward incoming calls to a desired destination. This article will walk you through the call forwarding options available, guiding you on how to configure them with ease.

Accessing the Configuration Page

To update your DID's call forwarding settings:

1. Immediate Setup: After purchasing a DID, you'll be directed to the "Edit Number" page.
2. Later Setup: Navigate to "Number Management" > "My Numbers" and click on the DID you wish to update.

Configuring Call Forwarding

Scroll down to the "Routing Settings" section, where you can set up two destinations:

1. "First Destination (Primary Route)": The primary path for incoming calls.

Important Notes for Call Forwarding

  • SIP Trunk Requirement: To use Call Forwarding, you must create at least one SIP Trunk (which won't require device or PBX setup). [Follow this guide to create a SIP Trunk](link to SIP Trunk creation guide).
  • Call Forwarding Enablement:
  1. Go to **My Account** > **My Account**.
  2. Click the **Enable** button under the **Call Forwarding** section.
Charges for call forwarding are detailed in your Critical Information Summary. Standard call rates apply when forwarding calls to mobile or landline numbers within Australia. International call forwarding incurs international call rates as specified in your plan. Call forwarding to international numbers may result in higher charges.
